Support our Organization

It Takes a Village Central IL requires hard work and dedication to keep the doors open--it's a job we are all honored to do. During 2014 the Board Members volunteered a total of 3,310 hours. We pour in many hours at the units to keep things going so families can shop weekly for their needs. We also meet monthly, and talk daily about the operations and how we can better the organization.

We also work year round to come up with funds to support ITAV. Last year the Board Members spent a total of $3,571.96 out of pocket and ITAV itself spent $4,373.00.

ITAV relies on monetary donations to remain a success. Every penny we receive goes back into ITAV and supports families in need. No one receives monetary pay for their work.

This year our goal is to raise $10,000. This money will go towards our rent, restocking our shelves, our Christmas Giveaway and special purchases for items families need.

Our long term goal is to move into a bigger space, that will allow for easier shopping.  It would also allow additional space for large items we can't store and offer to families.

Please consider helping us help those in need. We can't do it without you!

The Village Comes Together to Help Mahomet Apartment Fire Victims

We would like to thank the community for their outpouring support to those affected by the Lake of the Woods Apartment Fire.

ITAV was on the scene immediately helping those displaced by the fire, as well as other First Responders.  We coordinated with the First Responders and local churches to fill immediate needs.

The fire resulted in 32 residents that lost all or most of their belongings.

With donations from Walgreens, community members and ITAV Board Members we put together cleaning bags and are working on putting together a hygiene bag that includes toiletries.

We have a list of the families affected by the fire and are working with them.

Families are slowly moving into new homes, and ITAV will be here to continue to fill and meet their needs!
